Play-Asia Affiliate Program
Okay, so. I don't like ads on websites, in principle. But the other day I got one of these silly automated "Dear dragonflycave, we believe an affiliation between our websites would be very mutually beneficial..." etc. etc. e-mails... except this one actually had a point.
It came from Play-Asia.com, which is basically an online store for importing various Asian products to anywhere in the world. And this includes Japanese Pokémon games before they're published in the rest of the world.
What made this e-mail different was that it actually was mutually beneficial - it is actually quite useful to tell Pokémon fans where they can pre-order Pokémon games they don't have the patience to wait for. And apparently I get money if you buy stuff from my links, which is always nice, especially for a webmaster whose site contains no actual advertising and who pays for the domain out of her own pocket.
So. If you were thinking about buying yourself a Pokémon game off the Internet, support me by doing so through my Play-Asia affiliation links. I mean, why not? You have nothing to lose, you'll be getting a game you want, and if you're here you're probably a visitor to this site, so you've been enjoying my work free of charge anyway. I should emphasize that I'm not expecting you to buy a game specifically to support me; only buy one if you actually want the game, but if you're buying one anyway, you might as well do it here, right?
The links menu contains links for buying or pre-ordering the games I think my visitors are most likely to be interested in at the moment (generally the newest main series games), but if you want some other game, or some other item altogether, and really feel like supporting me because you're just awesome like that, you can use this search form, and I will earn money off whatever you buy from there! Neat, huh?
